NSBE with its unique characteristics, has accomplished more for Black engineering students than any other organization in the world. The same light that NSBE spreads to students and professionals in the United States is also relevant in African, European, South American, Asian, Caribbean, Canadian, Australian and Pacific Islander countries for people of color. It is the NSBE leadership’s vision that the organization will replicate itself in countries around the world, creating a world network of Black engineers, scientists and technologists through its international operations.

About NYU:PolyNSBE
Our chapter was founded in 1979 and ever since has been taking the organization by storm. Our membership has brought the organization two national chairs, three of the last five regional chairs, and two zone chairs. At NYU:PolyNSBE our membership is a family of many different faces, we welcome all who want to help us fulfill our mission statement;”To increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community”, and through our programs we study, eat, hang out, and grow together. Throughout the year our members gain skills that help them become leaders in our organization and in life. We hold workshops on topics such as time management, proper study skills, and talking to recruiters. While at our meetings they are informed on NSBE history and tools that help make our organization a success, such as “who founded NSBE?” or “what is an OGSM and how can it help me accomplish my goals?” On the more leisure side, we hold events that help us raise money and give our campus the chance to see what is NYU:PolyNSBE and why should they join.
