About NYU:PolyNSBE
Our chapter was founded in 1975 and ever since has been taking the organization by storm. Our membership has brought the organization two national chairs, three of the last five regional chairs, and two zone chairs. At NYU:PolyNSBE our membership is a family of many different faces, we welcome all who want to help us fulfill our mission statement;”To increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community”, and through our programs we study, eat, hang out, and grow together. Throughout the year our members gain skills that help them become leaders in our organization and in life. We hold workshops on topics such as time management, proper study skills, and talking to recruiters. While at our meetings they are informed on NSBE history and tools that help make our organization a success, such as “who founded NSBE?” or “what is an OGSM and how can it help me accomplish my goals?” On the more leisure side, we hold events that help us raise money and give our campus the chance to see what is NYU:PolyNSBE and why should they join.
