-$7 for general admission as well as entry into the spades or dominoes tournament

This year’s theme is: Election 2012 – Re-Electing the morals we have forgotten. Admission into our Food For Thought includes contributing 1 can to our can food drive! So join us on Friday November 11th for a night of fun discussion, awareness, and understanding of different topics. Food and Refreshments will be served. It is encouraged that you bring at least 1 tray of food to add to our potluck.

We plan on holding A Walk For Education (AWFE) on Saturday October 15th, 2011. More information about this will be given out soon.

**Please note there will be a Pre-AWFE meeting to help provide information to volunteers on how to hand out information, what to say and an overview of the route**

Directions on how to register for the walk:
Go to the website at http://www.jdrf.org/. Under the “Get Involved” tab, hover over it and select the Walk to Cure Diabetes link. Now under “Register for a Walk Now” select New York as the state and click “Find Walk”. Next scroll down to find and click the Queens link (Flushing Meadows Corona Park). Then click on “Register for this walk” then click “Join a team”. For the team name search “NSBE – Metro/LI Zone”, select it and fill out the necessary information.

Click “Donate Now”, then click search for a team and type in NSBE- Metro/LI Zone and click on the link. To the right you can select “Donate to this team”. Next you can either select to donate to the team directly or you can donate to one of the walkers on the team to fulfill their individual goal.

Join the NSBE family as we host the first Study Jamz session of the semester. The season for quizzes and midterms are upon us so come out and join others as we prepare to excel academically.

Studies have shown that studying and doing hw assignments in groups are more effective then doing everything alone.

We will also try to start off each session with a quick tip from the HIGHLY Effective Book “Guaranteed 4.0″ alot of NSBE members have used this book and its methods and have seen a drastic improvement in their GPAs. Trust us you don’t want to miss out!
